THE LAST DAY
She sulked and she sulked,
Why did it have to be her last day of frolic and fun?
Her world seemed upside down,
She felt sad, her misery was laughed upon.
She never imagined it would be so soon,
But it was time since it was already June.
“You better get planning” said her mom aloud
“Everyone will be ready to scatter all around.”
These words surely marked her last day,
But somehow her frowns flew away.
She wore a bright smile and packed her bag
I am ready for school she proudly bragged.
Early she tucked herself in that night,
Her mom assured ,”Everything will be alright.”
Yes, this was the end of her break’s last day,
Because tomorrow, a teacher she had to be again.
